Bretton Vine

Hi,

I'm Bretton Vine, a 25 year old techie located in Cape Town, South Africa. I handle webmaster functions for the Internet Service Providers Association ( http:www.ispa.org.za | http://www.jinx.net.za ) along with providing Linux support services to a handful of businesses.

I maintain a couple of mailing lists, with a strong interest in Internet legal issues and digital rights. On a personal level I lean to the Libertarian perspective and favour market self-regulation and would like to see ICANN more as an advisory oversight than a body that should meddle in the affairs of daily Internet users.

I have a strong interest in self-supporting community networks, which connect with other community networks in turn and feel this is how the Internet should grow. I am an active participant in a number of virtual community networks and a bit of an enthusiast as to the benefits of such networking.
