Comments:
- the removal of the established voting mechanism after one election was intolerable. the substitution mechanism is designed to remove power from the at large constituiency.
- it is still within a self governing organazation. This is not benificial to ALL domain owners.
- Everything I've read says that the last thing ICANN wants is truly independent directors that represent grassroots Internet activists.
- That question is meant as a joke, no?
- Partially, but for the most part, 'no'.
- Need Additional Info.
- Rephares: Do you believe that an ICANN's Controlled/Initiated @Large will be effective and beneficial to the Internet Users?
- By definition, any top-down process is intrinsically non-democratic and therefore fatally flawed.
- They mean to insure no popular influence
