Interim Results, updated regularly
Original question:
The Polling Booth has the possibility to show polling results in real time, while the voting is going on.
This provides a measure of operational transparency, allowing a voter to check results before and after her vote to make sure that her vote has been counted.
On the other hand it allows a voter to take a cue from the results which leads to a possibly undesirable feedback effect.
Would you be in favor of showing results during voting or only after the voting has closed?
Or would it depend on the topic?
Should the Booth show results during the voting?
This Poll is on-going and will run at www.pollingbooth.info until the end of march, 2003
This is a "free" topic, meaning that no password is necessary to vote. Your contribution to the debate in the Forum is welcome.

Comments:
- I think the feedback factor does not outweigh the transparency
- I don't see any value in showing partial results. What value is there in doing so? Certainly one would not want to see subsequent voters influenced by voting trends.
