I would like to thank Richard and Joop for their nomination, though Richard did not go on to endorse my candidature possibly due to lack of response on my part.
I would also like to thank all Icannatlarge.com members who voted for me in the previous elections and elected me to the Interim Panel.

Secondly, I would like to introduce myself again to the members who may not be aware of my background and credentials. I am a student of law at the National Law School of India University, and am particularly interested in technology laws and governance.

I believe that ICANN should be governed if it aspires to better governance of domain and other related issues of concern. I personally believe in the rights of the neglected constituencies of the grassroots Netizens and the NCDNHC (Non - Commercial Domain Name Holders' Constituency). I am espousing these interests as a member of the General Assembly of the Domain Name Supporting Organization (DNSO) of the ICANN and have been doing so at all forums possible.

I am hopeful that the ICANN Board and the various 'powers that be' shall soon realize the need for grassroots' participation from the At Large movement and ancillary organizations. I see considerable room for improvement in the organization of the At Large movement as well including the outreach and awareness programmes.

As a member of the Icannatlarge.com Interim Panel, I was the official representative to the At Large Organizing Committee set up by ICANN, which has given me a unique perspective on ICANN dynamics. However, I observed a definite bias against my region, however subtle. Asia did not seem important, both for members as well as for outreach.

I think that my short stint as Interim Panel member and my exposure to technology and governance can only add to the expertise of the panel to be elected.
